Teen Mission Jasper County - August 2024

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1-2

Teen Mission Jasper County is our local mission trip back home. Every year, the local churches’ youth groups come together for one week and do projects around the community. The teens are housed and fed, so they get the experience like they’re on a mission trip. We were in the background helping as skilled help with the teens.

This year, Sarah helped with landscaping at several different houses, making sure no one got into poison ivy or pulled up the wrong plant.

Ryan oversaw a concrete pour and some other small, odd jobs. We also got to go on reward day with the kids to a waterpark and take some time to relax. (Yes, we can do that!)

I (Sarah) have been involved since I was in 6th grade, and it was a blessing this year to see the younger kids step up into the role of leadership this year.
